Removals
Sometimes trees need to be removed, this can be due to a number of different reasons. These can include; disease, insect damage, the tree is too close to your home or other structures, you may be looking to build an addition or shed, or maybe you want to redesign your landscape. Whatever the reason, we can assess which tree(s) need to be removed to satisfy your needs and determine what the best approach may be.
Tree & Shrub Plantings
Planting trees and shrubs in your yard is a great way to enhance your landscape. You may want to create a natural barrier to give your yard privacy, plant a tree to provide shade in your backyard or plant a unique variety of ornamentals to bring color and character to your home.
Pruning
Pruning is a very important part of maintaining trees in a landscape setting and provides many benefits as well. Some of the benefits of proper pruning include; making sure trees have a proper structure, keeping you and your family safe from dead branches that may fall, making sure the tree stays healthy so that it may continue to thrive, and enhancing your landscape/property. Preservation Plans
American Tree Care offers preservation plans for trees on your property that you want to flourish for a very long time. Tree care for large and old trees should be methodical and routine, this is where a preservation plan is important. We will determine what the tree needs based upon its current health, man-made surroundings and other factors which may affect the tree over time. Not only should mature trees be maintained routinely, it is just as important for young trees as well. Young trees need lots of structural pruning over time to provide proper, healthy branching structure as they mature. Some of the services which may be suggested in a preservation plan for your tree may be:

After planting shrubs, many people forget that they need pruning and maintenance just like trees. With shrubs, light shearing and routine reductions go a long way to keep these plants both healthy and looking very tidy.
Land Clearing
Do you own land? Maybe you are looking into building a home on a house lot, or clearing some land to create a pasture or farm field? We can help you out whatever the case may be, we can discuss the location to clear, work with your civil engineer in the case of a new home, and then bring in our equipment. We can even help select possible trees to be left alone so that your new home can have some natural landscape value. In addition to clearing we can also provide selective cut services to help manage a wood lot that you may have on your property.
Fire Wood & Wood Chips
We sell firewood in both log length or cut and split. Normal cordwood orders are sold in 16” length, however if you need a larger length orders can be cut to your desired sizes. Orders other than 16” length need to be put in ahead of when you would like to be able to burn the wood as these orders are cut as needed.
